In Idaho, BLM manages 3,500 acres of public lands in the Lower Salmon Falls Creek Wilderness Study Area. The WSA consists of 16-mile long, 1/2-mile wide canyon that carries Salmon Falls. This vertical-walled meandering canyon dissects the Antelope Pocket lava plain and is between 300 and 600 feet deep. It supports a variety of plants, fish and wildlife species.
